The individual will join the One to One Project's Board of Trustees and become the charity's treasurer. The current Board is relatively small and comprises both clinically and non-clinically trained individuals.
With the recent award of a significant grant, year or year increases in donations being made to the charity, a desire to continue providing high quality services to local people and a drive to identify opportunities to do even better, this is a fantastic time to consider joining the One to One Project.
The charity's finances have been ably managed for a number of years by the outgoing Treasurer who has stepped down due to needing to focus significantly more time on his employed role.
The role will require focus on end of year accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, staff pensions and financial projections as well as contributing to the overall smooth running of the project alongside colleagues on the Board.
Trustees meet on a monthly basis and the role holder will be encouraged to attend as many meetings as possible to become an integral part of the team.
The role holder will be expected to:
Maintain the accounts of the charity.
Be a Committee member and offer advice on financing and accounting to the Committee.
Submit annual returns to the Charity Commission
The ideal candidate will be a qualified of part-qualified accountant or bookkeeper with relevant experience and a passion to support a local charity provide invaluable services to the community it serves.
Relevant experience is like to include some or all of the following:
Preparing end of year accounts, running payroll (the charity currently employs three members of staff), staff pensions, preparing financial projections, preparing and submitting annual returns to the Charity Commission
