The SAA is seeking to recruit a Treasurer to replace the incumbent at the AGM in February 2019 who is required to retire after completing his period of office. Candidates should have a professional qualification (ACA,ACCA, ACMA) and senior management experience
The Treasurer is a member of the Association’s Trustee Board and a director of the Association’s trading subsidiary, Trinity Park Events Ltd (TPEL). The Treasurer is also the Company Secretary of the SAA and of TPEL
Responsibilities – Oversee the finance function and give advice on strategy and financial structuring. The Treasurer also chairs the Association’s Investment, Risk and Audit Committees and attends most of the operational committees that steer the Association’s various activities.
The time commitment is approximately four days per month. This will however depend on the number of committees that the Treasurer attends – details of

Investment Committee - two meetings pa
Audit Committee – two meetings pa
Risk Committee – two meetings pa
Show Committee – five meetings pa
Personnel Committee – two meetings pa
Period of Office
The Treasurer is elected by the members of Council, on the recommendation of the Trustee Board, initially for three years with the option to be re-elected for a further term of three years. Thereafter the Treasurer may be re-elected annually for up to four more years in total.
