The Thyroid Trust is a Voluntary Association, also known as Thyroid Friends Network, we exist to provide reliable information and quality peer support to people affected by thyroid disorders.
It is our intention to register as a charitable incorporated organisation in 2018. We just need to find a new treasurer and then we are ready to apply for registration.
Our consititution and policy documents can be viewed on request.
We are a group of thyroid patients who have been meeting regularly in London since 2010.
We run regular Thyroid Friends meetings in Central London. At the support meetings we run, we talk about all things thyroid and listen to endocrinologists and other experts share their knowledge with us.
We are always looking for new volunteers, providing they will abide by codes of practice that ensure we all behave responsibly towards one another. We are a values based organisation who act with honesty, integrity and kindness.
We are committed to sharing comprehensive, medically approved, patient literature on all thyroid conditions. See our resources page for more information.
We are members of the SmallCharities Coalition, NCVO and National Voices and we are also registered with NICE, as key stakeholders for development of the new guidelines for Thyroid Disease: assessment and management.
Our logo for The Thyroid Trust represents a diverse, open support circle where everyone is welcome.
