We are working with one of the most inspiring theatre charities in the North of England, and are looking for board members to support their work.

“We are particularly interested to receive applications from those who have significant professional experience and networks in the following sectors:

  • Digital, IT and Innovation
  • Finance and Business
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Commercialisation, Partnerships, and Fundraising
  • Catering and Hospitality
  • Education and Learning
  • Legal Issues and Company Law• Experienced Practising Artists”


  • ensure your charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit
  • comply with the charity's governing document and the law
  • act in the charity's best interests
  • manage the charity's resources responsibly
  • act with reasonable care and skill
  • ensure the charity is accountable
  • ensure the charity pursues its objectives as defined in its governing document
  • to contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to the charity, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets
  • to safeguard the good name and values of the charity
  • to represent the charity at functions and meetings as appropriate
  • to be collectively responsible for the actions of the charity and other trustees
