Join us as a TimeBank Trustee!

We believe that you get more out of volunteering than you put in. Do you?

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity, started in 2000. We recruit and train volunteers to deliver mentoring projects to tackle complex social problems. We also work with businesses to engage their staff in volunteering. We believe that great volunteering can transform the lives of both volunteers and beneficiaries by building stronger, happier and more inclusive communities.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for two exceptional individuals to join TimeBank’s board of trustees and help us build on the success of our volunteer projects. You’ll join a group of dedicated trustees who are passionate about our work, who share a collective pride in what we’ve achieved and have huge ambitions for our future.

Leadership qualities are important to us, to help us plan Chair and Deputy Chair succession over the next year as some of our trustees step down at the end of their tenure. We are looking for fundraising experience as diversifying this is one of our key aims. We are also keen to ensure that our Board reflects the diverse communities we work with.

Individually, our trustees should have organisational or management experience, or should be able to bring valuable insights and perspectives about volunteering, mentoring or employee volunteering.  All experience may be paid or voluntary, full-or part-time, in work or education, in the UK or overseas.

To apply: Please download our trustee information pack and application pack at

Closing date for applications is November 27th; interviews are planned for Thursday December 7th.
