Small Charity Finance Helpline Volunteer
Job title: Small Charity Finance Helpline Volunteer
Hours: Flexible – Volunteers can work designated hours or can offer time and expertise on a more flexible basis to answer one off financial queries from charities.
Location: Flexible - This role can be carried out remotely or in our London-based office near Elephant & Castle
Small Charities Coalition supports small charities, registered or not, that have an income of less than £1 million per year. We provide a voice for small charities, and give them access to free and affordable support such as skills, training and resources. By collaborating with individuals and organisations from all sectors, we provide opportunities for sharing learning, building capacity and saving money.
We offer a helpline on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm. This is a free helpline, for staff, trustees and volunteers to call about any issues or questions such as starting a small charity, governance issues or finance issues. We will do our best to offer guidance in areas we have experience in or will point organisations in the right direction to find answers to their questions.
We are looking for finance volunteers to share their knowledge and expertise with small charities who have limited finance and accounting experience, skills and resources. The role is extremely flexible, with the supporter having control over what and when they are able to help and whether the support is done during designated office hours or remotely as and when needed.
