Attend management committee meetings and work with the Director to oversee, maintain and set up where necessary appropriate financial systems. Carry out all practical financial and monetary duties for a very small charity/limited company.
Ensuring posting and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date.
Maintaining the petty cash system and regularly process petty cash claims.
Regularly carrying out reconciliation.
Arrange payments to creditors as appropriate including arranging appropriate signatures on payments.
Make the necessary arrangements to collect payments from debtors and bank payments promptly.
Produce and present financial reports to the Management committee and others.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice and law relevant to small charities/small companies limited by guarantee.
Accountancy qualification including knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management.
Good financial analysis skills.
Ability to communicate clearly including to people not financially trained and to those with English as a second language.
Sensitivity to people from diverse backgrounds.
Support NCBI Nottinghamshire’s goals and model of working.
Willingness to undertake NCBI training.
ACCA CIMA ACA qualified or at least part-qualified.
