Trustee Role Opportunities in Walthamstow- join our vibrant team!

Forest Recycling Project (FRP) is a social enterprise and charity based in Walthamstow. We take surplus paint from re-use and recycling centres, re-mix it, make sure it’s in good condition and sell it on to individuals and community organisations as a more affordable, eco-friendly alternative to new paint. Last year, we redistributed over 40,000 litres of paint. At the heart of FRP’s operations are our volunteers who come from all walks of life, and through their work with us grow their skills and confidence.

About these opportunities

These positions offer the opportunity to play a central role in helping FRP succeed in the future. Trustees help ensure the organisation is run effectively and support staff to take important decisions that affect our work. As well as sharing your existing skills and experience, being a trustee offers an opportunity to develop yourself in new areas whilst making a real difference in your community. Our Board helps set the future direction for the organisation, so leadership and strategy skills are always in demand.

We are in particular seeking trustees who offer experience in:

  • Finance, accounting or social investment
  • Applying for grant funding

From you, we’ll look for commitment to FRP’s vision and aims, a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to fulfilling the role, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Interested?

Please email pernille.frp@gmail.com with your CV and a short statement explaining how your skills and experience match the requirements of the role.

Juliet Lopez-Real, one of our current trustees, is happy to be contacted for an informal discussion on julietlopezreal@me.com.
